A wide-ranging survey of South and Southeast Asian art, featuring archaeological material, sculpture, painting, and decorative art.This introduction to South and Southeast Asian art takes visitors through 18 chronologically arranged galleries featuring an extraordinary array of masterworks dating from 3000 B.C. to the mid-19th century A.D. The arts of India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Tibet, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Myanmar are represented through archaeological finds, sculpture, painting, and decorative art.
